Your ability to keep moving forward, even if at times to you it doesn't feels like moving forward, is inspiring. I am curious of what you think of Leach, although i don't want to be that kind of commenter that is simply looking to hear Behind the Scenes stuff of something that was such a tragic situation for you. Thanks for the kind words. I know I haven’t dealt with this situation always perfectly and it seems like I have to in order to be listened to by a lot of people, so it’s encouraging to interact with those who are willing to hear me out.
Don’t have any salacious tales about Leitch. Worked with him some, he was always decent with me. Haven’t kept up with him as a writer the last decade or so, so can’t really comment on that. The knock on him from the Deadspin days is that he hid behind that aw-shucks mild-mannered persona while other people were popping off with wild stuff he condoned but didn’t necessarily want attributed to him. So he could shake his head and be like, “Those other guys are crazy.” Always had one foot in the “respectable” media side of things, which probably helped that era of DS. It’s not surprising he found his way back to the establishment media side eventually.
